[:nl]Wie organiseert de Introductieweek van Psychologie?
De Introductieweek wordt georganiseerd door de Introductiecommissie van Psychologie (afgekort IC). Wij zijn een onafhankelijke stichting bestaande uit twaalf psychologiestudenten. Drie van ons vormen het bestuur met een voorzitter, vicevoorzitter en penningmeester. Daarnaast hebben wij een vertrouwenspersoon en nog 8 andere enthousiaste leden. Wat doet de Introductiecommissie?
Als Introductiecommissie (IC) zijn wij verantwoordelijk voor het organiseren van de introductie voor nieuwe psychologiestudenten aan de Radboud Universiteit. Door middel van vergaderingen en contact met externen proberen we een programma voor de introductie neer te zetten met proefcolleges, feesten, rondleidingen door de stad en over de campus en nog veel meer activiteiten.

Hoe werkt de Introductiecommissie?
Een keer per week is er een algemene vergadering. In deze algemene vergadering worden algemene zaken besproken waarover met de hele commissie een keuze moet worden gemaakt. De Introductiecommissie is daarnaast opgedeeld in kleinere subcommissies van gemiddeld drie personen. Met je subcommissies ben je verantwoordelijk voor een bepaald onderdeel van de introductie. Hierbij kun je bijvoorbeeld denken aan het organiseren van bepaalde feesten of activiteiten, maar ook aan het maken van de infomap of het regelen van de inschrijvingen voor de introductie. Elke subcommissie heeft zijn eigen voorzitter die uiteindelijk hoofdverantwoordelijke is. Deze subcommissies vergaderen regelmatig en bespreken in de algemene vergadering met de rest van de commissie de vooruitgang die zij hebben geboekt.

Naast de vergaderingen houden we met zijn allen om de week een borrel. De borrels zijn er vooral om elkaar ook in een niet-formele setting goed te leren kennen en de samenwerking te bevorderen. De vergaderingen en vaste borrels zijn echter niet de enige dingen die wij met zijn allen ondernemen. Door het jaar heen worden er verschillende activiteiten georganiseerd, zoals etentjes, uitjes met het IC of het bestuur van SPiN (de studievereniging van psychologie) en weekendjes weg.

Voorafgaand aan en tijdens de Introductieweek zijn we het eerste aanspreekpunt voor zowel eerstejaarsstudenten als mentoren. Zij kunnen ons contacteren voor al hun vragen en/of moeilijkheden en natuurlijk ook voor een gezellig gesprek!

Het contact met psychologiestudenten van de gehele studie en het feit dat je in een nieuwe groep terechtkomt waarin creativiteit en ideeën worden gedeeld, zijn volgens ons één van de belangrijke voordelen van het lid zijn van de Introductiecommissie.

The Introduction Week is organised by the Introduction Committee Psychology (IC). We are an independent foundation consisting of twelve psychology students. Three members form the board including a chair, vice-chair and treasurer. Besides them, we have a trust person and 8 other enthusiastic members. Under the heading “Who are we?” you can find more information about us as the Introduction Committee.

What does the Introduction Committee do?
As Introduction Committee (IC), we are responsible for organising the Introduction Week for the new Psychology students of the Radboud University. By organising meetings and keeping in touch with external contacts, we try to create a programme for the Introduction Week containing try-out lectures, parties, tours through the city and the campus and many more activities.

What happens in the Introduction Committee?
Once a week, a general meeting takes place. During this meeting, all the general affairs will be discussed in which the entire committee has a say. The IC is divided into smaller subcommittees, consisting of an average of 3 people. Each subcommittee is responsible for a part of the Introduction week. For example, organising a certain party or activity but also creating the Introduction Magazine or handling registrations for the Introduction Week itself. Each subcommittee also has its own chair who carries the main responsibility. These subcommittees will all have their own meetings and will bring their affairs to the general meeting to discuss the progress they have made.

Besides the general meetings we also have a bi-weekly drink. These drinks are mainly meant to get to know each other in a non-formal setting and further improve cooperation. The general meetings and drinks are not the only activities the IC organises. Throughout the year, several activities will be organised, such as dinners, events with the IC or the board of SPiN (the study association of Psychology) and weekend trips.

Prior to and during the Introduction Week, we will be the first point of contact for first year students as well as for the mentors. They can contact us to ask questions and/or discuss any difficulties and, of course, always come to us for a nice informal chat.

The contact with Psychology students from all around the study programme, combined with the fact that you will become a part of a new group in which creativity and ideas can be shared, is according to us one of the important benefits of being a member of the Introduction Committee.
